RoSPA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling in the Workplace

In 2017/18, according to the HSE, 6.6 million working days were lost due to work related musculoskeletal disorders, making manual handling the most common cause of lost-time injuries in the workplace.
Manual handling plays a pivotal role in occupational safety – after all, we all have to lift things and employers have a duty to ensure appropriate training and measures are in place, to prevent employees from injuring themselves.
The RoSPA level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling in the Workplace is an introductory qualification regulated and recognised by Ofqual, this award offers greater assurance and credibility than non-regulated in-house training.
Qualification Pre-requisites
In order to deliver this qualification the designated trainer must have one of the following:

RoSPA Level 3 Manual Handling Trainers or RoSPA Level 3 Award for Safer People Handling Trainers certificate (or equivalent)

A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety / NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety and have extensive experience in delivering Manual Handling training.
